Liming Zhao  

Professor, Ph.D.

Liming Zhao is professor of the department of food science and technology at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). He is a PI of the State Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering, and the Director of the Key Laboratory of Biobased Material Engineering of China Light Industry. He has worked on food science and technology in industryfor eight years, after obtaining his PhD in Food Science at Jiangnan University, he joined ECUST and was invited as a visiting professor at University of California Davis.

His research focuses on food bioengineering, especially on the preparation, separation and application of functional oligosaccharides. He has special interest in: 1) chitin and its derivatives; 2) the technology and equipment of membrane and chromatography separation; 3) bio-manufacturing of functional oligosaccharides; 4) biobased materials. He has published more than 140 original scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, he also published his monographs of Oligosaccharides of Chitin and Chitosan: Bio-manufacture and Applications (Springer Nature) in Sept. 2019, andthe Application of Membrane Technology in Food and Fermentation Industries in July 2011.

博士、教授、博士生导师,国家高层次人才,国家重点研发计划项目首席科学家,海军军医大学第二附属医院兼职特聘PI。现任华东理工大学科研院院长、国家技术转移中心主任,中国轻工业生物基材料工程重点实验室主任,发酵工业分离提取技术研发中心主任,华东理工大学—上海长征医院特医食品联合研究中心主任。中国食品科学技术学会食品添加剂分会理事长、休闲食品加工技术分会副理事长、青年工作委员会副主任委员;中国生物发酵产业协会理事、益生制品分会副理事长;上海食品学会常务理事。Food Bioengineering主编,《化学试剂》副主编,Food Science & NutritionBioresources and Bioprocessing、《中国食品学报》、《食品工业科技》、《食品科学》、《生物技术进展》、《中国酿造》、《食品安全质量检测学报》等国际国内学术期刊编委。

分别于无锡轻工大学、江南大学(原无锡轻工大学)食品学院获得食品科学与工程专业工学学士(1999.6)、硕士(2001.12)、博士(2009.12)学位。20025月至20105月,兼任上海市高校毕业生就业指导中心(现上海市学生事务中心)流动党支部书记。2002.3~2004.10年,任职于上海生远食品科技有限公司。20051月至20091月,任职于凯能高科技工程(上海)有限公司工业流体事业部。20091月出任江苏欣瑞食品科技发展有限公司总经理。20104月调入华东理工大学生物工程学院任教,20119月晋升副教授,20133月至20143月在美国加州大学戴维斯分校农业与生物工程系做访问学者,20159月破格晋升教授。20163月至201911月任生物工程学院副院长;201911月至20215月任生物工程学院党委书记;20215月任华东理工大学科学技术发展研究院院长。

近年来主持多项国家级项目、课题和省部级项目,承担了20余项企业横向课题研发和产业化推广工作,具有丰富的工程实践经验。以第一完成人获得省部级科技奖励6项;申请发明专利65件、授权中国发明专利45件、美国发明专利1件;发表学术论文150余篇;出版中、英文学术专著3部;主编教材2部。荣获上海市优秀学术/技术带头人、上海市曙光学者、“十三五”轻工行业科技创新先进个人、中国生物发酵行业30年协同创新奖(个人)、伦世仪教育基金杰出青年学者、宝钢优秀教师、中国产学研合作创新奖(个人)、中国食品科学技术学会科技创新奖-杰出青年奖等荣誉。

 

研究方向:

基于分离提取技术的食品药品及材料工程。

主要研究兴趣:

1, 糖生物工程(功能碳水化合物的绿色生物制造、分离纯化及功能评价);

2, 分离工程(膜和色谱分离技术及其在糖工程、生物制造中的应用);

3, 生物基材料工程(新型生物基材料开发、纳米生物基材料及其在食品医药应用);

4,特殊医学用途全营养食品、发酵食品开发。
