周英，博士，教授，博士生导师。生物反应器工程全国重点实验室固定成员，2025年入选上海市东方英才拔尖计划人才。兼任上海市合成生物产业协会副秘书长，上海市食品学会副秘书长。2018年-2019年赴荷兰瓦赫宁根大学微生物研究所进行访学。主要研究方向聚焦于合成生物学及活菌生物药，代表性成果发表在Cell Host & Microbe, PNAS, Advanced Science, Nucleic Acids Research, Biosensors and Bioelectronic等期刊上。主持并参与多项国家自然科学基金（重点、面上、青年）、国家重点研发计划（课题、子课题）、上海市科委重点项目、探索者计划及企业横向等。
研究方向：
1. 合成生物学及活菌生物药
构建工程化益生菌用于疾病的在体精准诊疗。以益生菌为底盘细胞，设计构建胞内传感、记录、调控等不同代谢功能模块，赋予工程化益生菌智能感应及原位诊疗功能，实现全细胞对肠道疾病及代谢性疾病的及时诊断和治疗的目标。
2. 食源性致病菌的致病机制解析
从翻译后修饰层面，阐明沙门氏菌、大肠杆菌等肠道致病菌侵染宿主及增殖过程的调控机制；聚焦宿主环境中小分子信号激活调控蛋白后，其关键位点酰基化修饰对致病菌侵染能力的调控作用，为食源性致病菌的防控及肠道健康维护提供理论支撑。
